KiYha Moore Foundation (KMF) is an organization based in Illinois, mainly south suburban area of Chicago. We are an organization with a mission to provide a safe space to build Confidence and Strength, through mentorship to not only under privileged youth but any youth from the ages 6 to 17 years old. We have created a Buddy Club of youth, that are against bullying, violence, and drugs. Our vision is to Provide resources to help those that are going through bullying, violence, and/or drug use, as well as resources to prevent depression and suicidal ideations.
We provide Strength, Confidence and Courage through self as well as team building activities and mentoring. KMF Organization provides fun groups, classes, tutoring (when needed), education on personal hygiene, academics, and human anatomy (body growth/changes). We provide the fundamentals to help build character and self-esteem. Because the organization is built around bullying, drugs, and violence we know that it is beneficial to provide group counseling sessions with a licensed Therapists once a month, we also refer families for individual/additional counseling as needed.
Youth expos show the world and themselves that they may be young, but they have dreams, goals, and aspirations too.
Fun family day can be bowling, skating, dinner and a movie, fun day downtown Chicago, and more.
This is the time we teach team building skills that will also help in self-awareness and strength. The purpose of these activities is for them to realize that they have strength within them for whatever obstacles may come their way.
Learning how to navigate the computer outside of schoolwork, learning how to research for starting a business, learning how to navigate Word, Excel, PowerPoint applications.
Learning how money works, banking, checking account set-up, saving account. Learning bill pay and account balance sheets. Learning what credit is and the difference in good and bad credit.
Taking trips (with parent permission and adult supervision) to learn the history of the ancestors, the former leaders of the world. Trips like Washington D.C. to visit the White House or New York to visit the site of 9-11 Twin Towers
